About Me

"Sunny" can best describe Caroline Slaughter but she's further defined as an actress, producer, writer, devout runner, steadfast optimist, driven goal setter and certified wilderness guide. Basically, she does it all… except cook. Caroline embarked on her path in the entertainment industry as an actress in both theater and TV in New York. Her love for acting morphed into a curiosity for producing, which led her to create her own non-profit theater company in New York, which eventually led to an opportunity to work in London with The Factory Theatre Company as an actor and its New York producer. A focus on theater as an actor/producer was fulfilling but initiated a curiosity to further investigate the medium of TV and Film -- and a caravan ride to La La land where her curiosity is still being fed. Caroline is now pursuing an acting career in TV and Film on the left coast and working on a screenplay with an established screenwriter as her mentor, which she aims to shoot in her hometown of Charlottesville, VA in 2013. She is involved in the LA comedy world and has an ongoing sketch show about W.A.S.P.s (White Anglo Saxon Protestants), a throw back to her country club roots. The sketch show will be going up again at Upright Citizens Brigade in December and will continue its constant metamorphosis through new performance dates in the coming months.Caroline is always seeking to cultivate her curiosity and challenge herself as an artist. She's an actor who truly believes in creating opportunities for herself through writing and producing. She values these opportunities and views them as a learning experience, a way to create and work with a strong team of like-minded artists but most importantly a way to share her artistic truth.
